"That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowedging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus." PHILEMON 1:6

If we do not acknowledge by knowing and saying the good things that are ours or in us in Christ Jesus, then we can not communicate or tell others about our faith effectively!

When he (Jesus) died, he died once to break the power of sin.
But now that he lives, he lives for the glory of God.
So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin
and alive to God through Christ Jesus.
For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin.
And since we died with Christ, we know we will also live with him.
We are sure of this because Christ was raised from the dead,
and he will never die again.
Death no longer has any power over him.
We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ
so that sin might lose its power in our lives.
We are no longer slaves to sin.
Since we have been united with him in his death,
we will also be raised to life as he was.
For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism.
And just as Christ was raised from the dead
by the glorious power of the Father,
now we also may live new lives.
So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death,
now God’s wonderful grace rules instead,
giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
But even greater is God’s wonderful grace
and his gift of righteousness,
for all who receive it will live in triumph
over sin and death through, Jesus Christ.
But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness
to many through this other man, Jesus Christ.
We can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God
because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.
For since our friendship with God was restored
by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies,
we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son.
And since we have been made right in God’s sight
by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us
from God’s condemnation.
God showed his great love for us by sending Christ
to die for us while we were still sinners.
When we were utterly helpless,
Christ came at just the right time
and died for us sinners.
And this hope will not lead to disappointment.
For we know how dearly God loves us,
because he has given us the Holy Spirit
to fill our hearts with his love.
We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials,
for we know that they help us develop endurance.
And endurance develops strength of character,
and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.
Because of our faith,
Christ has brought us into this place
of undeserved privilege where we now stand,
and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.
Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith,
we have peace with God
because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.
He was handed over to die because of OUR sins,
and he was raised to life to make US right with God.
Assuring us that God will also count us as righteous
if we believe in him,
the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.
The promise is received by faith.
It is given as a free gift.
And we are all certain to receive it.
Now, is this blessing only for the Jews,
or is it also for uncircumcised Gentiles?
Well, we have been saying that Abraham was counted
as righteous by God because of his faith.
“Oh, what joy for those
    whose disobedience is forgiven,
whose sins are put out of sight.
Yes, what joy for those
whose record the Lord has cleared of sin.”[
When people work, their wages are not a gift,
but something they have earned.
But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work,
but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners.
There is only one God,
and he makes people right with himself
only by faith, whether they are Jews or Gentiles.
After all, is God the God of the Jews only?
Isn’t he also the God of the Gentiles?
Of course he is.
We are made right with God
through faith and not by obeying the law.
