He has enabled you to share in the inheritance 
that belongs to his people, who live in the light.

You will be strengthened 
with all his glorious power so 
you will have all the endurance 
and patience you need. 
May you be filled with joy, 
always thanking the Father.

God give you complete knowledge of his will and  
give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. 
Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, 
and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. 
All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.

This same Good News that came to you 
is going out all over the world. 
It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, 
just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and 
understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace.

which come from your confident hope 
of what God has reserved for you in heaven. 
You have had this expectation ever since you first 
heard the truth of the Good News.

And this same God who takes care of me 
will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, 
which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have.

He will take our weak mortal bodies 
and change them into glorious bodies 
like his own, using the same power 
with which he will bring everything under his control.

 But we are citizens of heaven, 
where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. 
And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior.

I press on to reach the end of the race and 
receive the heavenly prize for which God, 
through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: 
Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,

I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things 
or that I have already reached perfection. 
But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus 
first possessed me.

I want to know Christ and experience the 
mighty power that raised him from the dead.

For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith.

become one with him. 
I no longer count on my own righteousness 
through obeying the law; rather, 
I become righteous through faith in Christ.

everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. 
For his sake I have discarded everything else, 
counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ,

I press on to reach the end of the race 
and receive the heavenly prize for which God, 
through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

I want to suffer with him, 
sharing in his death, 
so that one way or another 
I will experience the resurrection from the dead!

For his sake I have discarded everything else, 
counting it all as garbage, 
so that I could gain Christ and become one with him.
